John C. Leighow will speak on "The State Museum of Pennsylvania: The Second 100 Years."
John C. Leighow is a Pennsylvania native hailing from Danville. He attended Penn State and Kutztown Universities earning a B.S. in Secondary Education and an M.A. in American History. Beginning in 1975, Leighow began his career with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. Over the past 32 years he has worked in varying capacities for PHMC at a numerous locations including the Daniel Boone Homestead, Berks County; Bushy Run Battlefield, Westmoreland Co.; Somerset Historical Center, Somerset County; PHMC Placed Property Program, statewide; Division Chief for the Bureau of Historic Sites and Museums, statewide, Chief of Education and Operations for the State Museum of Pennsylvania, Dauphin
