Two area corporations challenge families to run/walk and make a difference for those in need

HARRISBURG, PA (April 16, 2008)--It's all about family and a commitment to helping others, and Dads can take the lead.

K&W Engineers and Consultants and TecPort Partners, L.P. have joined forces to help those coping with  life's challenges.   They are hosting the 2^nd Annual K&W/TecPort 5K Run/Walk to benefit clients of Gaudenzia and the Woodside Family Center.  The joint mission is to help those struggling with addictions and transition back to leading productive lives. 

Hasu P. and Hersha H. Shah were recently honored with the 2007 Humanitarian Award from United Way of the Capital Region's (UWCR) Tocqueville Society. The couple were recognized for their outstanding commitment to improving the human condition, both locally and globally, during a special reception, sponsored by The Hershey Company and M&T Bank, at The Hershey Company' Customer Global Innovation Center.

Hasu and Hersha truly define what it means to be living legacies. They have woven their sense of service into every facet of their lives.

"It is rare to see people having an impact on their local community as well as communities halfway across the world, but Hasu and Hersha strive to make such an impact," says K.D. Patel, board member of UWCR and principal of the Hersha Group. "They lead by example and encourage their friends, business partners and employees to give back to the community."
