Betty Hungerford receives Rotary Club of Harrisburg’s Robert D. Hanson Rotary Excellence Award

Betty-Hungerford

Betty Hungerford was awarded the Rotary Club of Harrisburg’s Robert D. Hanson Rotary Excellence Award on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the club’s weekly meeting at the Harrisburg Hilton Hotel and Towers.  Hungerford was selected for the Hanson award for her exemplary service and dedicated leadership to the Rotary club and the greater Harrisburg community.  This annually bestowed award celebrates the life, legacy, and service of the late Robert Hanson – a long-time club member and model Rotarian.

Hungerford has been a professional in the field of development and public relations for more than 30 years.  She currently serves as the Director of Development at Homeland Center in Harrisburg.  She is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College.

Since our founding in 1911, the Rotary Club of Harrisburg has been dedicated to doing good in the world. With nearly 200 members, we are one of the largest clubs in the area. Our members include some of the region’s most prominent business, professional, and civic leaders. We gather at weekly meetings and other functions to fulfill our commitment to the Rotarian ideals of friendship, fellowship, and service to others.
