Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson addresses local Rotarians, requests business community input

Mayor-Linda-Thompson-RotaryHarrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson spoke to members of the Rotary Club of Harrisburg on Monday, January 10, 2011 during the club’s weekly lunch meeting.  Mayor Thompson addressed some of the challenges currently facing Harrisburg – specifically relating to the city’s current budget crisis and debate surrounding the Harrisburg Incinerator.  Thompson also invited local Rotarians to partner with the mayor’s office as part of an executive loan program and strategic marketing initiative – both focused on utilizing local business leaders to guide economic progress in the city of Harrisburg.

Since our founding in 1911, the Rotary Club of Harrisburg has been dedicated to doing good in the world. With nearly 200 members, we are one of the largest clubs in the area. We gather at weekly meetings and other functions to fulfill our commitment to the Rotarian ideals of friendship, fellowship, and service to others.
