Lebanon
Counties as the
2nd place recipient and Barry Landis of Goodwill Industries -

Announcements and Committee
Reports:
President Gary announced that Greg
Sutliff had received a 2006 Hall of Fame, Business of the Year Award from the
Business Journal. Congratulations Greg!
Jewel Cooper reminded members to get
their $100 Harrisburg Rotary Foundation contribution in by the end of the year
to get a charitable contribution tax deduction. Jewel also indicated that our
club is having a membership drive and encouraged members to actively seek new
members.
Hal Hurwitz indicated the Salvation Army
“virtual” bell ringing (and real-time money collecting) will commence tomorrow,
Tuesday 12/12/06 at Strawberry
Square. He covered use of the “ding-dong sign” (it’s
a reusable sign we’ll use again next year – in case you don’t know, Strawberry
Square does not allow bell ringing so as not to disturb patrons, so we use a
“ding-dong sign”), parking (same as for Rotary meetings in Walnut Street Garage
with usual discount), and member contributions (indicate you’re a Harrisburg
Rotary Club member on your check and we get credit for the
contribution).
Next
Meeting:
At the Hilton - will feature the Cedar
Cliff Octet – be there!
