PROGRAM:
Named as head coach at Messiah prior

Messiah's program have been nothing short of spectacular. The Falcons
have won 5 of the last 7 NCAA Division III National Championships, and
have appeared in 6 of the last 7 Final Four tournaments, making Messiah
far and away the premier small college soccer program in the country.
Brandt's overall record with the Falcons is 203-20-12, making him by
percentage the winningest college coach at any level of NCAA men's
soccer. In addition, Brandt eclipsed the 200 career win mark on
November 11th of 2006, making him the fastest to 200 wins of any men's
soccer coach in NCAA history. The '06 Falcon edition went 21-1-2 on
its' way to the program's 3rd straight national title.

Doug Pieper led America the
Beautiful and President Garry Brinton led the pledge to the flag. Dick
Stewart gave the invocation. Steve Krempasky introduced visitors. Jim
Smeltzer gave a classification talk. He is an accountant in a firm of
85, with locations in Harrisburg, York and State College. His expertise
is in property valuation, with a specialization in litigation. Jewel
Cooper and Jeff Boswell introduced a proposed change in the bylaws,
which will be communicated in writing. The change involves the creation
of the vice president position as the position coming before president
elect. The change is based on other clubs' structures and allows our
club to develop more depth in our long-range succession planning.
Jewell announced the slate of officers, including Carrie Thomas as
president, Barry Ramper as president-elect, Carolyn Dumaresq as vice
president, Jewel Cooper as secretary, and Garry Brinton as immediate
past president. Terry Barnaby called for volunteers to help with the
youth exchange, and in particular on the weekend of March 17 and the
events at the YMCA. Carrie Thomas announced two new members: Tom
Peluso, sponsored by Barbara Skelly, and Una Martone, sponsored by
Jewel Cooper. Red badge members Mark Koellner and Lisa Lewis turned in
their red badges for blue badges. Tina Nixon introduced our speaker,
Rev. Nathanial Gadsden.
