the crowd with a festive "cigar garment". President Garry Brinton opened the
meeting by heckling Mr. Hostetter about his attendance.
We had four
visitors to Rotary including Bishop Baxter. Linda Freedenberg was recognized
for her 10 years of service as the Harrisburg Rotary Club's Executive
Director.
Next Dr. John Judson gave a report on Rotary International.
John also presented four Paul Harris Awards to J. Michael Love, Al Baker, Hasu

Next Bill Boles was honored as the new Club
Treasurer. Two new members were welcomed into the club, John Hickey and Charles
Wingate. (Be sure to say hello to them at the next Club Meeting.)
Doug
Peiper introduced our program which was Dr. Robert Siemers, pianist. Bob
teaches piano at the Milton Hershey Schools. He performed music from Bach to
Beethoven. Two words to describe his recital ----"simply wonderful." Bob
concluded his performance with a story about a student from Milton Hershey
School. He described it as the turning moment of his teaching career. Bob
stated his reason for his performing today was to initiate a personal goal to
perform concerts throughout the Central Pennsylvania Area.
The meeting
was a great start to our Rotary year.
