PROGRAM: Robert
Siemers
The remarkable pianist Robert Siemers has
delighted audiences throughout the United States as well as abroad. Past solo
recital appearances include the New England Bach Festival, the Shenandoah Valley
Bach Festival, the Bach Festival Society of Kalamazoo as well as many recital
appearances at performing arts series from coast to coast. His performances
abroad include solo recitals in London (Wigmore
Hall) and Moscow (Glinka Museum). In addition, Dr. Siemers has
presented lectures and master classes throughout the United
States as well as at the Moscow
Conservatoire.
Robert holds degrees from Southern Illinois
University at Carbondale, the Eastman School of
Music and Indiana University - Bloomington. His teachers include Mary Jane
Grizzel, Lee Luvisi and Menahem Pressler. In addition, he has coached under the
tutelage of Andras Schiff and Rudolf Serkin. Robert's artistic lineage can be
traced back directly to Beethoven. Currently, Dr. Siemers teaches piano at the
Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Our 2006-07 exchange student, Jose Ricardo
Zambrano, from Venezuela has
joined his first host family, the Creasons, and is attending school at
Central
Dauphin High
School. We hope that you meet him soon. We would
like to remind you that we are always looking for activities and
American cultural experiences that our exchange students will enjoy. If you
have any suggestions, opportunities or tickets available, please contact Ron
Guss, Jose Ricardo's counselor, or Terry Barnaby, Co-Chair of the Youth Exchange
committee.
